Removing Bees From a Wall

My brain is always going, constantly trying to figure out a better way do things. Sometimes it works, other times, not so much. I have been pondering ways to have bees find their way out of a wall of a home without exterminating them. One of my experiments was to use a queen bee pheromone to try and lure them out of the wall and into a hive box. It attracted a few bees in but not enough of them out of the wall. My next idea was to use a non-lethal repellant to discourage the bees from staying in the wall. This was a tremendous success. The result was better than I had anticipated. When I opened the wall to remove the honeycomb, all the bees had vacated the wall. I was able to capture most of the bees upon their exit. This technique also prevented the release of bees into the customers’ home when the wall was opened. I hope to further develop this method so I will be able to continue my efforts with saving the bees.
