Honey Soap – Honey Skin Care
How to make milk and honey soap the easy way.
I have tried to make soap a few times in the past. It can be a very labor intensive job, but also very satisfying. Or, you can make it quite easily, if you use a base. I purchased Life of the Party Suspension Soap Base, 2 pound Goats Milk off of Amazon for $16.93.
What you will need:
Goat’s milk soap base (1 pound)
3 Tablespoons raw honey
Essential oils (optional)
Silicone molds
The base is very soft to work with. I used approximately half the package and melted it over a double boiler, or at least my version of a double boiler, which was a glass bowl over a saucepan of boiling water.
After the base melts, remove it from the heat and add 3 tablespoons of raw honey. This will add an antibacterial element to the soap, and a pleasant scent. You can also add essential oils at this time if you would like. I have used, orange, peppermint, vanilla, and lemon grass. All have worked, and smelled great.
Give everything a really good stir to incorporate all the ingredients, and then pour into silicone molds. I used a cute honey bee, and comb mold for these, but also have used a daisy, or heart mold.
Let the soap cool and set up. This particular base cools quickly, and then you can remove the soaps, and enjoy!!
This is quick, easy, and makes fun gifts, or soaps for you to enjoy.
I like the efforts you have put in this, thanks for all the great blog posts.
