Seed Bombs

Seed Bombs

One of my favorite activities to do with my kids is leave little bags of seed bombs around town for people to find.  A few years back, I had found a Ben’s Bells at Pecos Park.  If you are not familiar with them, they are a handmade, ceramic trinket made to be found by surprise to remind us all to spread a little kindness.  I remember the delight I had in that moment, and how that little bit of kindness, and fun really made my day.  I really wanted to take the idea of a little surprise and incorporate it into Luckey Bee.  At various times in the month my kids and I go and leave these little seed bomb packages around various places for people to find as a surprise.  It has become a really fun activity for our family to share.

The seed bombs are little balls of clay, soil, and flower seeds, that can be planted or thrown into an open area, or planted in your garden.  The seeds will bloom into a  perfect food source for our bee friends, and add a little beauty to the landscape.   Each seed bomb has been handmade, and placed in a Luckey Bee bag made here at the farm.  So keep your eye out for a little Luckey Bee gift left behind, or you can purchase your own  seed bombs on our website to use.  Help us save the bees!

Thank you so much for the surprise “seed bombs” you left at your visit to the Irish Cultural Center in Phoenix! I have been the “chandler” for a reenactment group for many years, making hand-dipped beeswax candles: your “bee”-utiful little gift made my day!
