Bee stings have become a reality in our household since starting this business.  Unfortunately when you are disturbing a hive, the bees see it as an attack, even though we are in fact trying to help them.  Ernie and our son William wear protective suits during the removal process, but there are times that a straggler bee will find his way into the suit.  Here are a couple of remedies that we have tried with success.  Our favorite is the baking soda paste.

  1. Dab a little apple cider vinegar on the affected area, and let it dry.  Repeat as necessary. 819A2580_0613 819A2583_0617
  2. Create a paste of baking soda and water.  Spead the paste on the sting and let it dry through, and wash off.  819A2569_0603819A2572_0606 819A2576_0610
  3. Crush garlic cloves, and rub on the area.
  4. Make a paste of honey and turmeric.  Rub it into the affected area.  Honey acts as a natural antiseptic.
